Hello

I'm Celeste Brinkerhoff— an Intrepid Survivor, turned champion for peer-led, whole-person recovery.

Trained at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I am a Certified Holistic Health Coach and Peer Supporter.

My work serves to create a bridge between lived experience, integrative psychiatry, and community education.

I employ evidence-based motivational interviewing frameworks and character strengths-based interventions in my coaching to help you connect with your reasons for change and better leverage your abilities. Adept at interfacing with clinicians, I am your ally in self-advocating with your treatment team.

My Story

I entered adulthood with a serious mental health diagnosis and a clinical outlook that did not offer much expectation of stability. For years, my care focused primarily on symptom management. While aspects of that care were helpful, many underlying contributors to my mood instability and chronic suicidal ideation remained unexplored.

What shifted my trajectory was not a rejection of clinical care, but an expansion of it.

With the support of a multidisciplinary team, I began examining my mental health through a whole-person lens — including biological, nutritional, trauma-related, and environmental factors. Integrative and functional assessments helped identify contributors that had not previously been addressed, allowing my treatment to become more precise and collaborative.

Recovery was not immediate, and it was not linear. It required sustained clinical partnership, skill development, nervous system regulation, and careful lifestyle modification. Over time, I moved from recurrent crisis toward durable stability and improved quality of life.

Today, I integrate lived experience with professional training in holistic and nutritional mental health education. My work is grounded in a simple but evidence-aligned premise: sustainable recovery often requires attention to both symptom management and upstream contributors. I support individuals and families in strengthening engagement with care, building practical routines, and navigating complex systems with informed autonomy.
